Hanoi Embassy - 6 months Soft Power Cooking - application stated as "cancelled" (not "rejected") within 48 hours of submission, no explanation or additional docs requested. Any ideas what could be going on? The ones I could come up with are they want a 12 month program and that I didn't convert my bank statements into THB. I checked and my payment for the visa did go through.
I'm close by, is it worth going into the embassy in person to follow up? Any other suggestions are welcome.
how are recent entry experiences with the soft power cooking option? do they check/ask for attendance or ask other questions? my understanding is that it is not required to attend the class to get the visa.
(I understand the argument of those who say Of course it doesnt make sense to give a 5 year visa with a 6month course that you dont even need to attend at all, but if they decide to offer this visa then it does not matter, because they offer it?)
