Why was my Soft Power Cooking visa application cancelled by the Hanoi Embassy?

Hanoi Embassy - 6 months Soft Power Cooking - application stated as "cancelled" (not "rejected") within 48 hours of submission, no explanation or additional docs requested. Any ideas what could be going on? The ones I could come up with are they want a 12 month program and that I didn't convert my bank statements into THB. I checked and my payment for the visa did go through.

I'm close by, is it worth going into the embassy in person to follow up? Any other suggestions are welcome.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's application for a 6-month Soft Power Cooking visa was cancelled shortly after submission, and they seek clarification on the reasons behind this. Possible issues discussed include incorrect biodata, the bank statements not being in Thai Baht, or the embassy preferring a longer 12-month program. Comments suggest that mistakes in personal information are often the cause of such cancellations. The user is considering a visit to the embassy for clarification.

It usually means you didn't check your biodata information before proceeding with your application. The automated recognition is not the best

Usually a cancelled application means you entered some sort of information incorrectly. Most commonly, it is your name, forgetting a middle name, wrong county for county of your documents, or not being in the country where you applied
