Anyone gone to Samut Prakan immigration recently? I'm wondering if the crowds would be smaller and service faster than at CW...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experience and expectations of visiting the Samut Prakan immigration office compared to the Chaeng Watthana (CW) office, particularly regarding crowd sizes and service speed. Comments highlight the necessity of proper paperwork, such as address registration and TM30 proof, for a smooth experience in obtaining a visa extension.

, keep in mind that Samut Prakan requires PROOF you or where you stay in Samut Prakan filed a TM30, or they won't give you the extension. SO while you might wanna use that office, make sure your ducks are in a row and quacking in time paperwork wise or you're gonna have a tough time with them on your extension.

Tourist do not need to show in which hotel they spend the night, so you can travel around the country to choose an Immigration Office.

Living in Thailand using short time visa options is not the best thing to do, but I type that warning for more then a year. Be aware that you can only extend a tourist visa or the Visa Exempt Entry ONCE with 30 days. After that your Embassy might help you out as flights out of this country got cancelled. Take care, stay safe and healthy.

James Miller I'm on a 60 day TR. Haven't done my 30 day extension yet. I live in Bangkok but don't know about any registry, way closer to Samut Prakan than Nonthaburi.

Steve Gilman Thanks bud, I'm going to give it a shot early as well. From previous extensions I've been able to get them done in any city that I was currently traveling in. The reviews are mixed on Google but I don't see how they'll be as busy as CW.

Depends on what you like to do at the Immigration Office?

For many things you need to have an address registration at their office
