We are going to do an extension 1 year for non o base on marriage visa for my husband ( Australian)
at Samutprakarn office. We went to extended the 60 days visiting Thai wife due to the visa date is not enough for 2 months seasoned of 400k.
The 60 days visiting Thai wife will be expired on Aug 22. And the money is ready now, so 45 days in advance we can apply to extend 1 year in on Jul 09.
My question is.
1. How long for consideration will it count? 3 weeks after apply which is around Jul 30 or maximum 1 month will be Aug 09. Or it will be Aug 22 the day of current visa expire?
2. After apply visa and they accept all docs, do we need to keep 400k in the bank no move? Or show them bookbank or statement again on the day we go back for result? Can it move during waiting but the day we back only need to show 400k balance? If anyone can share experienced Samutprakarn will be appreciated.
Thank you very much ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the processing time and financial requirements for extending a NON-O visa based on marriage in Samut Prakan. They are particularly interested in how long the visa consideration will take after applying (whether it will be around July 30, August 9, or on the expiration date of August 22) and whether they need to maintain a 400k THB balance in their bank account during the waiting period, as well as any documentation required upon return for the result.

Question 2...with The extension based on 'marriage', once the extension has been stamped into the passport, any amount of the money can be taken out of the account. It then has to be a minimum of 400k in the account two months before applying for the next extension.
Thank you for your reply , it's mean we can not move the money while the stamp say "under consideration" which will take around 1 month after apply date.
Only can move when we go back to get the results and stamp for 1 year?
there is no officially posted rule about leaving the funds in during the under consideration period, BUT most people leave it in until they get the year extension inked in (which is after the U/C period runs out)

Samut Prakan allows you to apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on the current stamp
So as long as you meet the seasoning and have 45 days or less left on your current stamp you will be good
thank you for reply K. Tod yes we have seasoned since April but we will have to travel soon so we are not sure how they count the under consideration time like after 1 month from apply date or they will appoint us to go back on Aug 22 which the corrent visa expired?
, Don't forget to tell to the officer about your travel plan during under-consideration period when you apply for an extension. There is a chance the officer(s) may contact applicant during u/c. If you skip the contact, you might get a risk to lose the application.
should be 1 month from the date your stamp expires now because at most offices the under consideration stamp is the first month of the new year extension
SO
If you're going to travel you'd have to get a re-entry permit (which is good only for that under consideration stamp period)
Just to update this morning I have call Samutprakarn immi luckily they pick up phone after try many times they replied about how to count the under consideration date because we have changed from Visit Thai wife to 1 year extension long stay they said it different reason so once we apply visa earlier 45 days before the current visa expired the visa days in from visiting Thai wife will be cut( excluded) from 1 year and if we go on the 9 jul the consideration will be up to Aug 9 not Aug 22 where the current visa expired.
