Hi, I‘m staying in Samut Prakan, arrived 1st of December with Hungarian passport and now would like to apply for a tourist visa to stay in Thailand another 45 days. Is that right that I have to apply at the Samut Prakan immigration office? ☺️ Thank you.

Answer summary

A user in Samut Prakan inquired about applying for a tourist visa to extend their stay in Thailand for 45 days. They learned that they cannot apply for a tourist visa within Thailand and that they may only obtain a 30-day extension at the immigration office for 1900 Thai baht, assuming their initial entry was via visa exemption.

Sorry but you cannot apply for a Visa tourist visa inside Thailand.

As you arrived in December, I assume that you entered Thailand VISA EXEMPT with a 45 day stamp.

IF you have not already obtained an extension of stay, you can get a 30 day extension of stay at the Samut Prakan Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.
