My question involves carrying a certified copy of my passport AND visa with me everywhere. Do I have to do this? Do Thai police and immigration not have digital records that they can access?

What should expats know about police checks on the way to Mukdahan and overstaying in Thailand?

Our bus was stopped on the way to mukdahan. About 22 km before mukdahan. Everyone's documents were checked and a police dog boarded and sniffed around. There were no problems, but make sure you don't use this route if you are on overstay.
