Hi guys I hope you are all well. I am a uk passport holder currently in Thailand on a non B visa and work permit. I am moving back to head office in Kuala Lumpur in July. My partner lives in Thailand so my plan is to fly in every other weekend from KL. Should I apply for a metv visa or just a single entry every two weeks? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder currently in Thailand on a non-B visa and work permit plans to move back to Kuala Lumpur but wants to visit their partner in Thailand every other weekend. The discussion revolves around whether to apply for a METV visa or simply use the visa exemption. Community advice indicates that frequent short visits might eventually attract questions from immigration officials, suggesting that applying for a METV could be a safer option to avoid complications.
You can do it technically with no limitations under visa exemption but practically even if you spend only 1-2 days each visit every week at a certain point the IO will ask you to get the visa. For sure for a couple of months they will not deny the entry but be ready to be questioned and have return ticket ready to show. At that point better to apply for a visa to avoid problems but the question will remain as you will travel too frequently and for super short visits
Tome in Thailand makes all the difference in the world the people getting Questioned are the ones staying 60 + 30 extension and trying to bounce there getting a lot tougher
Depends on your country if your only staying the weekend then I see no problem using an exempt stamp my neighbor has been doing a month then work a month for at least 15 years no problem, make sure you cancel your work permit and extension before you leave
