Hello everyone,

I am a Myanmar national currently in my final year of a bachelor’s degree program in Thailand. My education (ED) visa will expire on May 31, 2026. I am seeking advice on how I can continue living in Thailand legally after my graduation, as I would prefer not to return to Myanmar at this time.

I would be very grateful for any guidance, shared experiences, or suggestions regarding possible visa options or legal pathways to remain in Thailand.

Thank you all very much for taking the time to read my message and for any advice you can offer. 🙏😊

Hi all…

I was just wondering if anyone knows…

If the DTV visa… under the soft powers ( I think that’s what it’s called ?) … includes studying Thai language ? Or not

I know the ED Visa is for studying Thai but wasn’t sure if the DTV is also ?

And does anyone also know if on the ED visa … wondering if it’s always in person Classes ? Or hypothetically if you wanted to be situated more rural participating in a not for profit volunteer program .. and you want to study Thai at night online will that be acceptable on ED visa .. or if it has to be in person classes.

Just curious if anyone has an personal experience with this before I then potentially try to ask a visa agent etc

Thanks 🙏🏻
