Another DTV visa question for you guys. I'm a French passport holder, currently in Thailand; I'm wondering if I need to go all the way back to France to apply for this visa as I just tried online on the evisa website, and it won't let me apply unless i specify France as my current location. Does anyone have any other info about applying at neighbouring embassies like Vietnam or Malaysia?

Can I apply for a 60 day tourist visa from London Thai embassy whilst I am currently in Thailand? then cross over land border and return back to Thailand getting my 60 days? Or is not possible to apply for a Thai tourist visa if you are allreready in Thailand, thanks 🙏

STUDENT AND GUARDIAN VISA

Good Afternoon,

My husband, two children and I are currently living in Bangkok. My husband is employed and therefore has his WP and Visa. My children and I are here on Non Imm O Visa’s.

My husbands contract ends in July, as does the WP and Visa’s we have and as it stands there is no employment on the cards. However, we would like to stay in Bangkok for 1 more year to allow our eldest to finish primary education.

School have said that they will prepare dossier and other documents required for Student Visa but does anyone know how long this takes to process... Time from application to actually completing/obtaining the Visa?

My husband and I would like to stay on guardian Visa’s and we understand the requirements - 500K baht each in an account for 3 months prior to application etc. Again, does anyone know how long the process takes? Can we apply for this from Thailand or do we need to leave the country? Are we able to apply for this while having our Non Imm O Visa’s or do I need to cancel these first?

Hello folks. I current am on Non Immigrant B Visa multiple entry and work permit working for US company but with Thailand office. Family (wife and son) piggy backed onto that via my employment. Family and I have to report every 90 days or leave/come back via flight over border. Company handles the 90 day reports, we just hand over forms and passports.

We have apartment with belongings.

I also have 1 year vietnam visa in passport

Goal: Stay here, continue looking for next tech job. Family is currently back in USA (our country of residency, returning 26th June)

Questions:

1. Can we get a SETV “tourist” 60 day + later 30 day extension WITHOUT the cost of returning to USA to apply for it? Not Thailand but close by country?

2. If 1 is true, then can we simply go to HCMC Vietnam or do you recommend another place?

3. If 1 is not true ( have to go back to USA), then since family is ALREADY in USA, can they apply there for new SETV visa despite currently they are in US, and despite the work permit not yet cancelled?
