TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether it's acceptable to use a dummy ticket when applying for a Thailand eVisa. Multiple comments indicate that the requirement might vary based on nationality and the individual embassy's requirements. Some users suggest that in their experience, they were able to apply using dummy tickets, while others recommend booking an actual ticket to avoid potential issues.

I have been asked for a flight booking confirmation in the past so I think it really comes down to the embassy your application goes through. If you have no reason to suspect you'd be rejected, I'd book the flights first.

Depends if they ask for proof of flights.

For my visa I just googled flights and dates and entered them.
