Arriving on December 27th for my 4th visit on visa waiver from USA since February 2025. I am planning to take girlfriend to Japan for a week during my one month stay. I have never extended during any stay and am looking at 80 days in Thailand this year up to this point. Does anyone have good information regarding if this travel will be frowned upon or outright denied now that the crackdown is happening?
My apologies if this has been covered, but I just want to be clear on a few things:
I just arrived on DTV a few weeks ago and stamped in for 180 days. I now have a 1 year condo lease in BKK.
I would like to visit Japan right around the 90 day mark for a week or so. How does that affect my 90 day reporting and my 180 day? This would be my first 90 day report and I will have a TM30 this week from landlord.
I am currently on non-immigrant visa O for another 10 months.
End of this month I will fly from Bangkok to Japan so I will need re-entry permit.
Question: can I ask my re-entry permit already in Krabi district, where I live, multiple days ahead? Is there a limit of the validity of the re-entry permit?
Just want to save time at BKK airport, so figured to maybe do it in Krabi before.
Hi All. Looking for information and advice. My Thai wife and I as a Canadian spend 6 mos a year in Canada and 6 months in Thailand. In this coming October 2024, instead of flying direct to Bkk, we are thinking of: (i) flying to Japan and stay there maybe 2 weeks, (ii) fly from Japan to Singapore and stay there 4-5 days, (iii) fly from Singapore to Bkk/Udon.
Does anyone see a problem with this? I'm pretty sure Japan does not require a visa for Thai- not sure for me as a Canadian.
I do not know Singapore regs yet. I was in Singapore over 40 years ago, but never Japan.
