Seeking advice for something a bit urgent. My wife will have her medical check at Bumrungrad in order to get the CR1 visa (marriage) to go to America. For this she needs all vaccinations. She has no record of these. Bumrungrad can do the whole process but if we get the vaccines there it will be around 30k total for the health check + vaccines

I’ve been recommended by another expat to first go to a government hospital to get an antibody test to see what vaccines are already in my wife’s system (she lost her records). Then we can see what she needs and have it done cheaper outside of Bumrungrad

I’m wondering if anyone else has done this process for their spouse and if you have any advice. Just looking for the most cost effective way.

The medical exam itself can only be done at two hospitals and this was confirmed by the embassy

My wife’s cr1 immigration case was transferred here to Bangkok from Warsaw Poland (she’s Russian). She had her interview on 7/19 and now our case is in administrative processing. Does anyone know how long the embassy usually takes to complete administrative processing?

Hello Everyone! First time posting in the group. Does anybody happen to have any experience or knowledge with the spousal visa CR1 in a foreign country? I’m American and my wife is Filipina We live in Thailand, as I have my retirement visa and she’s a dependent under my retirement visa and Thailand is our home. I tried googling and getting a hold of both embassies in Thailand, and in Philippines, and not getting any definite, clear answers. Does anybody have any knowledge or personal experience in a situation like this? to me, it makes sense to process the visa in Bangkok at the US Embassy since that is our residence but yet she is a Filipina, so not sure if it needs to be done in the Philippines, which that would make no sense to keep going back-and-forth

I guess this goes to the "Anything Else" category. I am currently working getting the I-130 done for my wife (prerequisite for the CR1) and needed some Thai translation done. I reached out to [members only]/ and they did a fantastic job! Not the cheapest option, but rapid turnaround of one day and ticked all the boxes for meeting USCIS requirements. Anyone have experience on CR1 Visa Thai to US wait time?
