Hello currently back in US, I am married to my Thai wife waiting on her CR1 visa for US, I was in Thailand waiting with her, so had to fly home, so now decided I should get a visa and fly back and wait, or give up on her coming to US, I started a nonO Thai visa application her in US, it wants me to have insurance, 65000 baht a month income, some other things, my question, is there a better way?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether to apply for a Thai visa while waiting for their Thai wife's CR1 visa to the US. They face challenges with the NON-O visa application regarding insurance and income requirements. Various commenters suggest alternatives, including applying for a non-O 90-day visa based on marriage, considering a tourist visa initially, or even the K1 visa route, which some found easier based on their experiences.

Apply for a non o 90 day over 50 retirement visa, no insurance or police checks. You can use the money in your home account as part of the application, much simpler than the non o-a you were looking at

It sounds like you are trying to apply for a 12 month Non-OA visa which does require insurance, police checks, etc.

For a visa based on marriage you need to apply for a Non-O visa, from memory in the evisa app it's something like "stay with Thai family longer than 60 days"

You applied for non-OA. Needs insurance, police check etc. . Better to apply Non-O 90 day based on marriage ( marriage visa) and extend 12 months based on marriage, after you arrive. If you have Thai bank account you'll need 400,000 tbt in the account.
