Does anyone know if I now leave Thailand on the basis of re-entry (Non-O retirement) and when I return what the requirements are?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Retirement visa holders (Non-O) cannot seek re-entry if they merely hold this visa or an extension to stay. If you plan to leave Thailand and return, you should prepare to be outside the country for several months. Upon your return, be aware that you'll need to obtain permission from a Thai Embassy, travel only on repatriation flights, possess health insurance covering at least $100,000 (inclusive of COVID-19), and undergo a 15+ day quarantine in an ASQ hotel at your own expense.
