ORIGINAL POSTER
Got our 45 day visa and spent 44 days in southern Thailand. Departed and have been in Cambodia and Vietnam for two weeks. Any problem to re-enter Thailand at Chiang Mai airport to spend 10 more days? We are booked to fly home from Bangkok at the end of 10 days.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks about the possibility of re-entering Thailand after a 45-day visa exempt stay, followed by two weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam. Responses indicate that re-entry should not pose an issue, especially if there is no extensive history of entries. Some recommend having a paper copy of the outbound ticket and adequate funds, while others dispute the necessity of the funds requirement. Additionally, one comment highlights the potential changes to the 45-day visa policy by the end of the month.

Please have booking where you stay. Sometimes they ask even with return ticket. Good luck

I have literally just done a border run to Cambodia and they gave me 45 days no questions asked.

I think you mean visa exempt status, but whatever. You're fine. Be advised that the 45 day visa exempt is set to change at the end of the month.

Make sure you have a paper copy of your outbound ticket and at least ฿20,000 in THB or equivalent, just to be safe.

20,000 baht is a myth - nobody in the history of immigration has been asked to provide this evidence it’s just one of those questions Which is never asked

I read here frequently people are denied and that is the reason cited. Surely it would be prudent to carry for multiple reasons as well as meeting all the other entry requirements?

Been doing the Thailand-Laos-Vietnam “Loop” for the past 7 months and had no issues, should be fine 🙂

You should have no issue. They’re used to people visiting other places around SE Asia and returning. As long as you don’t have an extensive history of entries they probably won’t say anything.
