TLDR : Answer Summary
To return to Thailand from Australia, a Thai national must obtain a Thailand Pass, which is required for entry. Important documents include a valid passport and a plane ticket. Travelers are advised to book hotels through reliable sources, ensuring they include required services such as two PCR tests and airport transfers to avoid scams and bureaucratic issues. Proper communication with hotels related to the Test-and-Go plan is crucial for a successful application.

If I book my hotel ,through Agoda, that has the 2 PCR tests, and taxi transfer from Bangkok Airport.
Will this aid me,getting my Thai Pass, quicker and safer
Be ready. I just went through it. It's bureaucratic but doable. The problems is with the hotels. Some will try to scam extra payments for things that are implicitly included in their Test-and-Go packages after you book. Others don't communicate with you for essential documents they must obtain and to confirm your booking directly with the government.
If they don't do their part of the bureaucracy, your pass gets refused.
I had to cancel one hotel booking in Chiang Mai because they tried to scam me and did not communicate my details with the Test and Go plan. I had to reapply. Still waiting for approval.
