TLDR : Answer Summary
You can re-enter Thailand with a new passport as long as you present both your new and old passports. The old passport should contain your visa (DTV), while the new passport will have the entry stamp from immigration.

You just need to show both passports. Your old passport will have the passport number that matches your visa, and the new passport will be where they put your entry stamp.
