TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are traveling on a student visa in Thailand and plan to visit Singapore for 5 days, you'll need to obtain a re-entry permit to maintain your student visa status. Additionally, a ThailandPass is required for re-entry, which will necessitate proof of vaccination (if applicable) and insurance.

If you have a student visa then you’ll need a reentry permit to keep that “alive”. To get back in you’ll need a ThailandPass, which basically needs proof of vaccination (if any) and insurance.

Thank you, Stuart! I appreciate your help. Is the 'reentry permit' the Thailand Pass or is that a separate thing?

separate. You get one from a local immigration office 1,000 baht for a single entry. 3,800 for a multiple entry. You can also get at the airport on your way out.
