TLDR : Answer Summary
After receiving your DTV visa, you are required to complete a 90-day reporting. The first report must be done in person at your immigration office 89 days after your entry stamp. Subsequent reports can be done online. It's also important to file a TM30 form to notify authorities of your residence.

I had no idea that the DTV required 90 day reporting. Is this new, where can this info be found?

the ONLY visa that doesn't require 90 day reporting is the LTR (Long Term Resident) Visa

The info can be found by believing what I posted ๐Ÿ˜›

your first 90 day report is due 89 days after you stamp IN to thailand just like it is for everyone on long term entry/visa/extension stamps.

I believe you ๐Ÿ˜ Just a bit peculiar it's not mentioned anywhere in requirements/obligations on any embassy/announcements. Thanks for highlighting!

why would they mention it at an embassy, they don't say anything about it for any other long term visa they sell ๐Ÿ˜•

It's something that is immigrations related AFTER you enter the country

embassies SELL visas, they don't have anything to do with you getting in or what happens after you come in.

They don't say you need to do a TM30 either but everyone does ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congrats on getting the DTV,

Once you get here, make sure you or your landlord file a TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) form

Your FIRST 90 day report will be due 89 days from the date you stamp in to thailand, and you have to do the first report in person at your immigration office.

After that you can use the online reporting system

I also have the DTV. Is there a specific office you have to report to in Bangkok for the 90 day report?

if he doesnโ€™t report or file TM30 and leaves before 180 days, will immigration have an opportunity to fine him?

How about
@Ryan *******
we don't get in to the 'how do we game the system' questions. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜›

The rule is clear, stay 90 days on the same entry/visa/extension file a 90 day report, leave before it's due, it resets when you come back in
