Are there strict rules regarding the 65K income requirement for a Non-O (source, seasoning etc)? I've had 800K on deposit for some time and am considering changing to the 65K month requirement. Also, I assume 65K is the minimum monthly and does not need to be exactly 65K. Thanks.

800K to 65K

At my next O extension I want to change my current method of having 800K in the bank to 65K a month. By that time I will have had 12+ foreign deposits of more than 65K.

Would that cause any immigration issues and would they check that I have the 800K even though I have and had the required deposits?

I have just returned from Laos back into Thailand and got my last one year stamp from my O-A visa. Happy days! We went straight to immigration in Mukdahan to do the TM30 and while I was there I asked about proof of funds for next year if I extend. The two IO's only mentioned the 800k route and not the 65k monthly route. I was hoping to start the monthly 65k's this month but not sure it is worth it now. My question is : Am I correct in assuming it's not worth trying to convince them otherwise? Just do as they say next year if I extend?
