Q: Do you have to do a border bounce to active an Ed Visa from a visa exemption or is there any alternative?

I have just been advised by bitkub that my cryptocurrency holdings may be used for my annual retirement visa application. Has anyone used this facility successfully?

Hello everyone my Non-B visa expires on September 15th, but I need to be in the UK from July 20th - September 20th (I currently have a return flight to Thailand on September 21st).

I’m not able to renew my visa before I leave so what are my options?

- Does anyone know if it’s possible to apply for a shorter 1 month Non-B visa extension or something before I go?

- Has anyone renewed their Non-B visa in London recently? How long did it take and is it a smooth / reliable process?

- Do I have any other options?

Thank you very much in advance 🙏

Hi Everyone,

First post 😊 Thank you for all the great tips!

Planning my first trip to Thailand in December as I prepare for the big move next year under DTV. *birthday trip combo🥳🪷

What is the best method to secure lodging accommodations? 👀

Hotels? Air BnB? Local rentals?

Why when applying for the DTV do they ask what flight number you will be on? I haven't even bought my ticket yet.

Guys-

Living in Krabi with my Thai Wife (we got married in Krabi last year)

Entered recently on a W.60 Visa Exemption.

Have a 6 month rental lease.

We want to take the route of Non-O 90 Day Visa (marriage) and then extend that visa by 12 months

I understand a requirement for the extension is 400,000 baht IN A THAI BANK ACCOUNT in my own name

My issue is I CANNOT OPEN A THAI BANK ACCOUNT in my own name whilst I am on a Visa-Exemption

Hence- my reason for converting my Visa-Exemption to a Non-O 90 Day Visa (marriage) would be so I can take THAT visa to the bank and successfully open a Thai Bank Account, to fund it and have the funds ready for the one year extension stage

So it’s illogical to expect me to have funds in a Thai Bank Account when first applying to convert to a Non-O, if I cannot open a Thai bank account without FIRST converting my Visa-exemption to a Non-O, which I can THEN approach the banks with, to open the account using the non-o

My Plan Of Action:

1. Convert W.60 to a 90-day Non-O (Marriage) from within Thailand (Krabi Immigration)

2. Use that new Non-O visa to open a Thai bank account easily

3. Deposit 400,000 baht and let it season for 2 months

4. Apply for a 1-year extension before the 90 days ends

MY QUESTION:

Would Krabi Immigration accept this logic and accept this as a basis/purpose for wanting to convert my current Visa-exemption to a Non-O 90 day Visa (marriage) from within Thailand?

I have all the other requirements met.

Cheers guys.

Filling in the online eVisa for O visa.

After uploading passport, photo, ID....came to the placethat I can not skip nor I have an idea why is it asking me. I clicked LTR (Long Term Resident) Visa (P) at the beginning.

Anyone knows how to skip that? Or do it all over again with different visa type? Edit: over again, as "Non Immigrant Visa".

Yeah, it can not be changed, it says "The first step cannot be edited because it may affect the next step information."

4 . Letter of qualification endorsement issued from the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) (valid for only 60 days since the date of issue). The applicant can apply for the letter of qualification endorsement via https://visa.boi.go.th.
