TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa requirements for one adult and four dependents vary by embassy, but a key requirement is having 500,000 baht or an equivalent amount in a bank account. It's advised to check the specific embassy's website for detailed information. Some comments also emphasize the importance of being in Thailand to handle visa issues directly.

I love all the Influencers that moved to Thailand on DTV's and say in their videos that they moved permanently 🤦‍♂️

If you had an address for 5 years would you consider that your permanent address Or would you tell people that it's your 5-year address?

@Rio *****
DTV is 180 days at a time not permanent

That wasn't my question. I am on the DTV visa I know what it is. I asked a specific question. You're clearly dodging the question because you realize how ridiculous your comment is.

Thailand has NEVER allowed immigration on the intent to live there permanently. Every foreigner in Thailand is on a "temporary stay permit". With only one exception for those you succeed in getting issued a "Permanent Residency" status, or who gain Thai citizenship

@Rio *****
its not a permanent visa , it was never designed to be

Are you able to answer simple questions or you just going to keep on sidestepping?

Im not side stepping anything ..the rules are very clear but you're wanting to interpret them your way

since I see that you are intentionally dodging the question, I will reference the meaning of permanent address. "A permanent address is the fixed location of a person's primary residence, used for legal, official, and practical purposes like receiving mail and establishing residency. It's the address where a person lives on a long-term, habitual basis, as opposed to a temporary or mailing address." So yes a person on a 5-year DTV does have a permanent address in Thailand. According to the definition of the word. 🥂

They will be different for different embassies. Check their website for specifics. The main requirement is 500k baht or equivalent in a bank account

@Monalisa ****
ask embassy. I know cases where it was additional 15k for each adult only, and cases where 15k for each dependent, and hear that some can use 15k for main holder for all

BTW, 15,000 isn't going to cut it at most US based embassies. More than likely 16,000usd
