DTV Approved. HCMC (Remote worker category).

Consulate: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Submitted Friday 10:30am

Picked up Tuesday 13:30

I over submitted documents. My cover letter already stated I was providing tax documentation so I had to hand it in. But it wasn’t required. I work through my LTD company incorporated in England

.Application form

• Personal bank statement of the last 6 months as financial evidence showing an amount greater than 500,000 THB

• Business bank account statement showing recent payment from latest client (also over 500,000 THB)

• Invoices for my latest client

• Current contract with a client - signed

• Ltd incorporation documents

My personal tax return for the last 2 years

My company's corporation tax documentation for the last 2 years

• My CV

• A portfolio showcasing my recent projects.

• My lease in Bangkok as proof of location

It looked like they were mostly interested in the bank statement. And my educated guess is anything to support your employment status is important too.

Does someone have a sample letter for the DTV, for applying with soft power activities? I am training muay thai, but it is hard to explain to my school what I need. I'm the only foreigner that trains here, and there is a bit of a language barrier. The school is accredited by the muay thai association, but this is the first attempt at DTV visa from there. Thanks in advance for your assistance

Hi everyone, I’m a business owner in the UK and live in Thailand. I need to apply for the DTV from outside Thailand. I recently moved over 500k from my business account to my personal one, and I’m wondering where the best place to apply is. From what I’ve read, Taipei seems like the best option—can anyone confirm this?

My ED visa expires on October 13th, so I’m short on time. Will a one-month bank statement showing today’s transfer be enough, or should I show a business bank statement with my name and the company details?

If anyone has been in a similar situation, your advice would be appreciated. Do I need to fly there and apply in person, or book an appointment online first? Should I wait to book my return flight to Thailand?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi folks! I need the help of people who are in the same position as me.

💻💼 I will apply DTV under Workcation category in Jakarta. I do my job online (working as a fitness trainer, providing training plans for specific goals) and I am director of my own company.

👉🏻 What should I include into my application to minimize the risk of rejection? Below, you can see my plan. If you think it's not enough, can you help me to make it better with your recommendations? Much appreciated! Lots of love ❤️

📃 My Application Plan:

1- Employment Certificate (written by me, to myself)

2- My Company ID

3- Invoices from clients

4- Signed letters from clients proving that I provide them online coaching service

5- Link of my Website

Hi all. Did anyone got the DTV visa from Phnom Penh? I will apply this Friday as a Dutch citizen that lived in Cambodia for almost 5 years. Any tips are welcome! Thank you.

Vientiane Laos 🇱🇦 DTV Experience

Got lucky and found an appointment today 4 days ago so I booked everything and came. If you check the website often you can get a last minute appointment if there are any cancellations

Arrived at the Embassy 9am straight from the airport. Can take the airport bus 🚌 in town then scooter taxi. Or can negotiate with airport taxis. There is no Grab or Bolt here just so you know. Was seen at 9:30am it moves very fast if you come early. There were about maybe 30-40 cued after me when finished so it’s good to come early.

LLC Business Bank account proof of funds was not accepted. They want the funds sitting in a personal savings account. Thankfully the agents spoke good English and were helpful. Bit stressful running around to print off last minute documents but made it work in the end.

There are loads of print shops nearby and make shift shops (people with umbrellas ☔️ set up and a laptop and scanner/printer 🖨️). Charge about 10 baht/$0.30 usd a page 📄 so good to plan ahead and only use if you’re in a pickle and need last minute pages printed.

They seemed to be solely focused on the proof of funds didn’t look at my other documents much. Even after showing a balance over 500k Thai Baht for 6 months he still made me print off a screenshot of the current balance as of today’s date with recent transactions. Had to log into my bank app as well and show it’s mine/real.

TLDR. Print off anything and everything…way more than you expect. Then can always take back the documents they don’t want. I read this group for a while before going and I thought I was well prepared and got wrecked 😅

Wait time is 2 days after they accept your application. Fingers crossed 🤞 it’s accepted

Hey guys…

Im in Thailand for another month and a bit, still on a tourist visa exemption, planning to leave Nov 1st to a neighbouring country and apply for my DTV which Im quite confident I will be approved for.

My first question: I heard Cambodia is changing in october from in person applications to Evisa only, and apparently I have to be back in my home country to do the Evisa application. Anyone able to confirm this? Got a source?

Second question: anyone know any neighbouring countries that most likely will remain doing in person DTV applications? I heard Laos should be fine so I will probably go there, but I would like to know if theres others that I can use as a backup plan.

Thank you!
