Me and family plan to move to Thailand this August. I UK woman will have non imm O visa and husband has Thai passport and daughter has only UK passport. I'm sure this is ok. We plan to get her thai passport when there. Anyone any experience of this. Surely this is fine? TIA

Hi,my question to you People is: IF I do a border run,let say Laos or Vietnam , entering Thailand do I still have to do TDAC form again?

Is it possible to get a 90 day O visa for either marriage or retirement whilst in Thailand on a tourist visa. I don't want to use any agent if possible.

On advice from many online sources , I visited my local immigration office to apply for non immigrant 0 visa . I am on a visa excempt but was told that the application for that visa was no longer available from a visa excempt applicant and I have to leave the country and apply for a e-visa . Then apply at the same office for the o visa . What is this nonsense and why ?

Do you have to redo a tourist visa here again if you leave out the country to visit somewhere else for 4 days ? Or does it remain within the same date you have to stay until ?

Bangkok Bank update:

I have had this account for several years, initially opened on a tourist visa.

Because of all the confusion about accounts getting closed I visited the local branch today for peace of mind.

They said no problem with older accounts.

For these they look at cash flow to prevent money laundering…Large amount of money in and then out again.

Regular monthly deposits and bills paid online are normal and proper use of the account.

They are contacting people by email if there account issues.

USA passport on DTV visa. Account in Chiang Mai. 5 June 2025.

I hope this helps…..I was really freaked out with all the news of BB accounts getting closed.

Tried doing a search here but couldn't find anything definitive...

I am legally married to a Thai citizen and have a Thai marriage certificate.

1. Can I apply for the ‘marriage visa’ (Non-O) in the Immigration office in Bangkok on a 60 day visa-exempt stamp? Some websites mentioned that I have to start the Non-O Visa application in my home country, hence my confusion.

2. If it’s possible to start the process in Bangkok, which Immigration office in Bangkok should I go to?
