Is anyone else in Hat Yai right now?

Hi all, everything else question.

Tried searching online and can’t find what I need.

Will be in Thailand from next week and taking train from Hat Yai to Hua Hin. I know from previous experience that sometimes they can be cancelled due to flooding and I know there is still a lot of rain around. Does anyone know if this route is currently running ok?

How is the situation in the north,is it possible to travel by train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai or bus? I heard that the rails are under water?

Chiang Mai...seeing reports of lots of flooding...expected arrival is on 1 October. Thoughts? Don't really need to have open toursist sites..just wondering how the situation is without new media hype and drama.

My Visa expires today. I've been trying to get to the Immigration in Chiang Rai for 3 days to get an Extension but it's just not possible with the flooding. We've been evacuated and safe but there is just no way to make it to the Immigration Office, every bridges is closed. What's my options here? Of course, I will be making my way to Immigration as soon as I can reach their office.
