Hi y’all I’m new to the group and I was wondering what the rules were regarding the 15k needed to be approved for the Digital Nomad Visa. I’m considering borrowing half of this amount to get the visa and then paying the half back after - would this work or will I need to show proof of 15k in my account for the entirety of my stay there? Hello everyone - maybe a bit of a weird one 🐶

But, I am hoping of making a long term move to Thailand going down the DTV route but initially coming in as a tourist. I’ve been preparing my dog for a move (she came with me from Mexico > Europe) but just noticed that the import certificate is only valid for 60 days.

Does anyone know if these dog import certificates can be extended or have experience with owning a “foreign” dog in Thailand for a period longer than 60 days? Or can dogs do “visa runs” too, seems unlikely as paperwork is so difficult to import/export in the first place.

DTV 180 day rule....

At the 180 day point, does the Holder leave Thailand for a week or so, then re enter for another 180 day days? ..and repeat for 5 years.

Or,

Is the Holder only allowed 180 days per 365 day year (5 periods of 180 in 5 years) so must leave for a long period before returning?

I wanna get a DTV visa. From my work they wont allow to work abroad. I can get unpaid leave.

But i own 3 buildings which i rent out. Besides that i do some financial business (giving loans) on personal base, no company. Is this enough to get a DTV visa?

And we are plannibg to come to thailand at June, and i am planning to borth my first baby there around September 15.

So we need around at least 6 mo th visa stay as a freelancers.
