@Helloo ****
Any hostel that agrees to issue a TM30. I usually pick one in my area because they usually want me to be physically here for check-in. Even if I don't stay for the night. I ask them to print the online submission form so I have it ready at hand to go to immigration.

Note that at my last extension in March, they didn't ask me for TM30. It's a gamble.

yeah good point. It didn't occur to me that they would answer such question over the phone and in English. Also I already paid my accommodation so I would loose the rent if I move out asap. My lease is up soon so i'll make sure I get a TM30 this time.

Yes this is what I thought, I always needed it last year. Thanks guys, I just need to convince my landlord

When I stay at friends, I would just book a cheap dorm for 1 night on the night before going to immigration, and ask them for issuing the Tm30. It worked each time in Bangkok (Laksi)

are you sure? I just found that the embassy letter is required for transfer to new passport, according to this page:

yes they said they would do it for THB 1500 but I was wondering if it was really necessary for a visa exemption

I asked my landlord, a westerner, for the TM30 and he said it's not required and he's never done one. Can I be in trouble when extending my visa exemption? Is there an official source that I can point him to?

I was hoping they repelled the TM30 in 2023 but according to this thread it seems to be a thing still.

Cheers for your replies.

@Stuart ********
hey Stuart, I have anotther question related to that post here. I was planning to go to immigration in the next few days to get another stamp for my covid extension (it's up on May 19) but now I just tested positive for Covid! 🤯

I've read stories in the group where people overstayed due to covid but still got fined and blacklisted, or got problem getting back into the country. What can I do to prevent that? Can I send someone or an agent to extend for me?

@James *******
There are 2 more forms for covid extensions, they're available next to the other one at immigration and there are examples how to fill them in taped to the wall. You can ask the first or second screening desk and they're give you the forms too.
