At what point am I supposed to leave as a tourist would? I’m using the visa entirely within the spirit and letter of the law.

It’s narrow because those are the “soft power” options the government wants you to do.
Do one that will fulfill your visa requirements without having to ask anonymous questions about how to circumvent the system or don’t do it. It’s not that hard to understand.
Exercise won’t hurt you . Neither will working remotely.
