I definitely am earning less to work remote. I work for a major international company in mid-level management and earn what is barely above minimum wage in the city I live in. Most employees I work with are living in the southern US, not in big cities, or the Midwest (same-not in big cities). We are nearly 100% remote and I have been with them since 2021. I lose $ to have the flexibility (due to caregiver responsibilities). However, I don't pay for gas/auto expense or for things like clothes for work, make-up/hair care etc, and food on the go. I also can and do use my breaks to walk on my treadmill (no gym & am healthier).
