Luckily opened a K-Bank account back thrn. Lost my bank book once while on DTV. Got a new one without issues. But K-Bank might start to do the same ...

it is possible to own a car though, as you will only need a residence certificate, which they issue also in tourist visas. My Thai wife bought her car with cash

I had to put the 13K - like no real entrepreneur would do - in my bank account 😉 thats how you show that you can borow enough money from Boomer relatives that put high sums in bank accounts 😌
