we entered on a tourist visa and then planned the surgery so that it lined up with it ending so that medical would be like an extension and the gave use 30 day medical (Idk if that's Multiple Entry) my gf only stayed in the hospital a few days after surgery but had to go back for checkups for the rest of the time so we definitely used the whole 30 day medical.
We just asked the surgeon if she could write us a note and they scheduled us for the visa folks to be in the hospital so we wouldn't have to leave and then they took our passports with them and we picked them up from the hospital the next day with the new medical visa all good to go. That's how they did it at Vejthani Hospital idk about the others 🤷🏾♀️
When my gf went through surgery in a Bangkok hospital (Vejthani) the hospital gave us both medical visas. The visa folks came to the hospital so we didn't have to leave and because I was her caregiver I got the medical visa too.
we only have 1 cat and 2 dogs but I've never heard of the 2 cat rule. A lady who was in my building we were living in brought her 2 cats from South Africa so idk if there was a rule change or something. Try to email the airports import department to get updated clarification they will be able to tell you exactly what is needed and they were quick to respond to us. * This was April 2024 when we went
I have just used my USA bank account/card everywhere for the last 6 months haven't had any issues (Stores, Hospital, etc) ... Anything I can't I just pay in cash Baht - if you get enough out upfront and tuck it to the side when needed it's not too expensive.
