Bob D'Andrea I am gathering information from various groups to make an informed decision. From what I gathered, unless you are holding a LTR visa, if you stay in Thailand for more than 180 days, you are considered a tax resident and may be subjected to taxation.

Thanks for all the responses.

I was looking into Malaysia's program and it has a 90 days residency requirement, Portugal's program has a 180 days requirement. Both do not necessarily pave ways for permanent residency status.
