I once was going to thailand with my passport without a return ticket. The airline just about not let me on the flight. I told them once there I would apply for a 30 day extension and then go into Los with an approved visa for a week then back to thailand if I needed more time . They finally let me on. The reason I did not know when I was flying back to US, was that we were having issues with a K1 visa at the embassy in Bangkok. Luck and Siam Legal made everything fall into place in 7 weeks.
