I had the same thing, immigration officer specifically told me that it would start immediately and not on the 27th. Did my 60days today, stamped until 15Nov

hey Ben, should I have asked them to changed the dates? They only do that on request? I thought it was standard due to it being officially announced that way.

yea I guess so, I was a bit surprised because I havnt seen anyone else with the 60days that did not start ehen amnesty ends

no, they just told me that it would start immediately. I adked them if it can start after the amnesty ends. They said that that was not possible.

Addition to this post; at Samui immigration the 60 days start immediately after the extension is obtained. Did mine today. They notified me in advance about it before I paid the extension fee.
