.. every time I visit Thailand .. about once and sometimes twice per year, I am usually not asked to show that my return flight is already booked. Do you know if that is a requirement now that the typical 30 day stamp has changed to a 60 day stamp?
pretty accurate description.. also very accepted in the culture of The Kingdom is what is known as GIK, Thai phrase meaning (friends with benefits). I have had this situation for 2+ years now. She is more than just my “ holiday GF”, as we have chosen to stay ONLY with each other… yes… even when I am not in Thailand. I chimed in here not to hear comments about my situation, but to add to this discussion in general. 🙏
I visit Thailand about every 7 months since late 2022. Trip #6 coming in July. I usually only stay just under 3 weeks. Last visit the Immigration Officer did ask me why I come to Thailand “so much”.. I told him the truth (girlfriend and possible business development) and did show off some of my Thai language skills.. and he stamped and said “no problem with entry.” I wonder if the way I visit would ever cause an issue. Of course one day (Sak wan) I will semi- retire in The Kingdom.
