funny comment but ironically, not always true. We are comfortable but not wealthy by traditional standards and have more than 500K in investable cash if you count our retirement portfolio. But we use these groups all the time.

Can passive income be considered a combination of actual private pension and any way that you pay yourself into a Bank account (from brokerage asset withdrawals, for example) that adds up to 80K per year? We’d be about 25k short including social security and private pension but have way more than enough in 401K and IRA accounts to create 80K in passive income

The 90 day drive up at airport is awesome and takes three minutes. So naturally, it makes Thai sense to get rid of something that works quite well and go back to Shit which is everything at Promenada

Don’t know your citizenship but can tell you that by law for America, an embassy can not verify, issue, certify or otherwise issue any affidavit associated with the verification of a marriage license as that is a vital record maintained by the states. Federal government has no access or authority to marriage licenses.

What one can do is sign a boilerplate affidavit that says you are legally married as of a certain date but of course the embassy is simply swearing that a US citizen showed a valid passport to them. It’s not a certification of anything. Thai immigration does take this as proof because my wife has followed me for three years on my retirement extension as she’s not over age 50 and they still ask for this useless document. Good luck

I would like to agree with your first sentence. Almost every CM social media FB group features the same group of the biggest assholes I’ve ever come across on social media. Same commenters over and over all insulting and trolling anything that’s not their superior opinion. They sit there waiting. Pathetic losers.

Shows the low class of expats that Thailand attracts which is why my wife and I are leaving for better pastures. But you will get great advice on this group. Cheers
