Can one apply for a 30 day extension (under a 6-month METV) more than once? My first border bounce is due on the 26th of this month and I wanted to get an extension until December when I am flying out of the country anyway. I also plan to file for an extension near the end of my visa validity to get that extra 90 days. So my question is can I only file a 30-day extension one time during my stay? Thank you!

Ok so back to my original query: What is the verification letter meant to state? I have a job in the States to return to but I won't be working until I get back? They just want to know I am indeed returning? This is so confusing, why would I be able to return to a job I am not going to be working for 6 months?!

So my verification letter ought to state that I HAD a job working for as a VA but I'm on sabbatical? The bureaucracy is maddening.
