Thank you; the only reason I went was to do some business with HSBC, unfortunatelay I have to go back to Saigon this time but once this account gets opened I have no plans in the near future to return to VN, although our trip turned out to be much more fun and exciting than expected. We were in Hanoi.

was told Wise card PERSONAL customers can not use their card anywhere in Vietnam 🇻🇳.

my wise card didn’t work once ….not at an ATM …not at any shop …not at any restaurant…not at the Hilton Hotel …nowhere

WISE has always been great for me but I don't understand why I can convert to VND but can't use the card anywhere in Vietnam

THIS. I have about 8 copies in various locations including one in every bag that ever travels with me. Let the laughing and mocking begin - but better safe than sorry. I also had an immigration agent tell me to always have it with me when entering Thailand as contrary to popular opinion they can't always just "see it in the comptuer" - not yet anyway.
