I don't know why you write you maintain a US address for voting reasons. I've been living in Belgium for 44 years, no longer han a US address and still vote in US elections. Look into it if not being covered within a 100-mile radius of "your home" is an issue. Personally, I'd think not being covered anywhere in the US is a potentially high risk in light of health costs in the US. I don't know whether a 65+ year old non-resident US citizen would be covered by Medicare, and even then, it's not free and probably doesn't cover everything. So sad that the costs of health care and education are so exhorbitantly high in the US, and matters could become worse under the current administration.

Thanks much again to all who replied. I've installed the Superrich app and will keep an eye on things.

Thailand, here we come (tomorrow!) for the first time.

Thanks to all for your replies

I'm sure you must have left the items in storage until your final departure from Thailand and only declare them when you leave for the last time (this trip, anyway) - no?

- thanks yet again! I did find a sort of user's manual on the Thai envisageable site. For the photo, it says a JPG or JPEG file of max. 3 MB can be accepted. I have recent passport-size photos (printed). Think I can take a photo of the photo and upload it?

You've been most kind, helpful and patient. Thank you for your help!

The envisageable site mentions 5. Financial evidence - bank statements and 6. Document indicating current residency. I think the bank statement should be easy to obtain from my on-line banking app, but what kind of proof of residency will they accept?! A most recent utilities bill, for example, or must I request a document from our local municipal authorities?

Thanks again

-also, for which type of visa should I apply? Tourist Visa (TR)?

- Thank you very much. Hope it will go smoothly. I have hotel reservations for our entire stay (that can be canceled if our plans change), a scanned 'non-applicable' document for some questions if need be - but I don't know which for questions I might need that, scans of our passports and return flight reservations.

What else will I need? Will I need proof of funds (a bank statement)?

Thanks much again!
