My take is, they waited for you to apply, thus knowing you were outside Thailand, refused you and then will wait until you try another visa exempt of a TV application which at that point, they will refuse either because they have had enough of your border runs

Im not saying thats what has happened, Im suggesting it as an answer to your question. IOs are petty people. Power hungry as they wear a uniform. Ive had it in Heathrow after I was in SE Asia for a year.

Looks like they got fed up with you and have purposely sent you out of Thailand to use the DTV route which they were always going to deny you. Id expect if you bought a visa exemption flight from MNL you would be turned away again. Give it a shot and come back here and let us know 👍

When I have arrived on a 1 way ticket and been asked (around 3 times in total) I have just said Im not sure when I will be leaving yet and that I will make sure I will leave before the end of my exemption or visa

When they ask about accommodation I say Im booking a guest house for a couple of nights while I look around for something more long term

Everyone is guilty until proven innocent these days! Point being you havent broken any law until you overstay your 'welcome' 🤷

That said, if you are worried, book the cheapest excursion out of Thailand before your visa ends and use that as proof and simply dont use it. A £30 flight to say Vietnam would suffice

My experience was around 8 or 9 years ago. Just some toiletries Im used to back home that cost a fortune in Thailand like shaving stuff so although annoying, nothing I couldnt put down to anything to learn from 🙂 Good luck

I had a parcel that went MIA and was at that point I decided NEVER to post anything to Thailand again. It feels like corruption where they make it as difficult as possible to get your stuff so you just dont bother and they just keep it 🤷
