Why can't my parcel be delivered in Koh Phangan and how can I avoid this in the future?

Non visa related but wasn’t sure where else to ask for advice.

I’ve recently sent a parcel of soft furnishings from the UK to Koh Phangan via UPS

The parcel has made it through all the scans and security checks and now I’m told it can’t be delivered and will be disposed of.

Can anyone suggest why this has happened?

And also which delivery company do you recommend I use so this doesn’t happen again 🙏🏼

Thank you 🙏🏼

I use UPS a lot in Thailand, very good customer service. Try contacting them by phone, or walking in at the headquarters in Soi Lasalle, Bangkok to get information.

I had a parcel that went MIA and was at that point I decided NEVER to post anything to Thailand again. It feels like corruption where they make it as difficult as possible to get your stuff so you just dont bother and they just keep it 🤷

Ive seen many posts like yours

Several years ago I posted via Royal Mail Parcel force with no problems but the price through them now is crazy.

I’m now ( like you say finding it as difficult as possible)

My experience was around 8 or 9 years ago. Just some toiletries Im used to back home that cost a fortune in Thailand like shaving stuff so although annoying, nothing I couldnt put down to anything to learn from 🙂 Good luck
