I should have been in a little clearer it's just that they don't have the tax system organized for their own people how are they going to organize it internationally
most of the average Thai people that I know, don't pay taxes on their wages. I thought it would be an absolute task to tax foreigners when they can't even do it on their on soil. 🙂
I heard a bunch of panic about it late last year. Didn't really pay attention because things change rapidly here. Thanks for clearing that up. The above was just a summary of the article I read. I only included the parts that focused on the foreigners. I'll have to look into this more. Cheers.
I'm under 50 still got 10 years to go. Unmarried and I'm not in any hurry. I do a lot of charity work mostly behind the scenes. It allow me to continue to do what I do and also live in a place that I've called home for nearly two decades. Still kind of waiting to see what's what.
well the high season at least in my city wasn't really a high season. Thailand might claim to have gotten back to nearly pre-covid times. It seems like a slightly busy low season this last high season. Whether expats like it or not they've got to make their tourism income. It provides jobs. Not saying that this is not going to come with some negative effects but I lived here back in the day when he will get through unlimited border hops or hop on a flight just come back. There is no real perfect solution. Damned if they do. Damn if they don't.
