I'm trying to sign up with an application similar to this using an American passport while residing in Thailand. Currently having no luck. Any suggestions on getting through these or other applications which might be more viable? Mainly for receiving payments. Thank you.

If your just trying to receive download Phantom wallet or Trust Wallet. Both will work fine and have a quick easy non kyc setup.

try using a VPN. I don't think Robinhood requires a passport verification and you can buy BTC with it.
