your second option is what I’m talking about and what I think I’ve heard about and maybe be of interest to me. But using the Malaysian board to make it advantageous to me. But still confusing if it is actually suitable and how it actually works in the way of what I have to do and the documents I need to show. Where I go looks from what Ellie said Penang might do this. But I’m not sure. It’s just confusing with so many different replies.

Thank you Ellie so if they do. Is it possible for me to move away from the EofS at my local immigration office based on marriage and not show banked money and stay in Thailand and do this type of visa (visa run) so so many answers that are all different. It very confusing

It might be called a visa run but I called it a boarder bounce. This is the first time I’ve ever spoken on this subject and finding it a little confusing

1. I don’t want to travel back to the UK.

2. I thought it could be done without bank money some how. 3. I would just want to use my local boarder crossing which is Malaysia. As I live right next to the Malaysian boarder with Thailand and that is why this might have be advantageous to me. But it looks like it cannot be done without a EofS which is what I am on now and have been since 2016 and Bank Money. So am I correct in saying it cannot be done with banked money and being married to a Thai National?

Thanks for this. Just one other question so I have a multi Re entry up until my expiry date of my EofS. And I believe you can apply for a renewal max of 45 days before it expires. So my thinking was to apply for my EofS 45 days before it expires my multi re entry permit runs to the same date as my EofS. And just say to my IO I’ll be back a two day before both expires. To pick my new EofS up and they’d plan a visit around me being back. That would work I’m presuming. Does that sound right?

that’s correct They are not obliged to remind you or give you notice you should be aware that it’s your own job to familiarise yourself with the rules or regs of your EofS. And even when they don’t seem to check all your details it doesn’t mean they are done away with. The rules is the rules and your IO on the day is your IO and will decide what he will and won’t check and it ends up completely up to him on the day. Basically always prepare to always meet all rules and regs regardless what you hear from others 🇹🇭🇬🇧🇹🇭👍🏻👌🏼💪🏽

Hatyai should do then as it is the Deep South’s main airport. My local immigration office Pattani gave me my recent multi re-entry permit. As planning a land crossing into Malaysia from Yala Betong

@Robert ******
that’s correct so the guy changing to a EofS from a O-A visa would have health insurance. Didn’t know that thank you.

Hi you’ve have said in your reply:

OR

you can apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay at local Immigration Office but than you need to meet requirements like funds in a Thai bank account and health insurance and copies of address registration and passports.

Sorry just a little confused I’ve been here in Thailand for over five years now and never been asked for health insurance documents when getting my new yearly EofS ever. Is this something new!?
