@Peter *****
and keep paying the high fees. I've been here for years and do it myself. Very easy.

I used an agent in Phuket. It was very expensive and took much longer than it should have and they did a lot of shady things that made it impossible to renew. I had to leave the country and reapply. If you use an agent, don't let them put money in the Bank for you. Set up the Bank correctly and wire in your own money, or you won't be able to renew.

If you didn't follow the guidelines exact, they will probably make you start all over again. After I first got mine here, I moved my money to a different bank. That one day gap voided my visa.

If he had an agent put money into an account for him, then he recently opened a new account with 800k thb. He will need to leave the country and start the process over again.

If it’s his original account with 800k thb, then yes, he can get a renewal for 1900 thb. Immigration has a list of the paperwork required. It’s not difficult and there are people there to help.

You should be able to get a Non-o for retirement in Thailand. You'll need 800k thb in the Bank for 2 months before you apply. Once you apply, they should give you an extention for 1900 thb. At least that's how it did work. Biggest thing is getting a Bank account. Try different ones if they say no.

You don't need one. I came in visa exempt on a one way ticket. Best to call the airline before booking. I did that and they said it wasn't necessary.

I'll need to do the same thing, but in Phuket, as I need to do the Sandbox. I'm going to try and get a tourist visa online to give me more flexiblity, but not sure if I can from Ecuador.

I didn't realize you had to leave of the multi entry. It's good to know that an option remains that will allow you to stay. Thanks for the explaining.

I didn't realize they were not issuing multi entry Non-O visa for retirement. Can you extent the Single entry Non-O every 90 days?
