Probably depends where your rideing it

Very much doubt local countryside plod would know the law on it , probably just laugh and send you on your way . Could be different in a big city

Don't open krung thai there app is useless my philippine wife got stuck in Lao on a visa trip when her krung thai app went down very unhelpfull help line useless bank

no need to stay if you don't want to I just used to go for a nice malay mutton curry and a bottle of Guinness and stamp back into Thailand after a couple of hours

I would say Malay border padang besar

Take a train or coach

I used to do the ranong / myanmar at victoria point which is closest to hua hin but not sure if its still open

Surin (chong chom ) O'smack (Cambodia) you pay a 300 baht fine !! for comeing striat back into Thailand same day
