Knowing how stupid the Thai govt are, and how they have over reacted so ridiculously with this flu, my guess is, they will expect ALL foreigners to have the “vaccine” before getting on a flight to enter Thailand is my guess, or expect to force “vaccine” on arrival.....
ok, sorry about that, I am thinking of the retirement visa....is that the “non immigrant O visa”? Is there another retirement visa? Several of my friends have previously had to come into Thailand on a tourist on entry visa, then applied for a retirement visa when in country...
I do t think that you can get the O visa from outside of Thailand, you have to be in country to apply. So I am also planning on getting back in, on the 60 day tourist visa, then possibly apply for the retirement visa.
from what I saw, it’s 8000 baht for a period of 3or 4 months, enough to cover your visa period, then sort out what you want to do long term when you get there. And that covered Both insurances...
One company to look at is Luma, it’s a Thai company I think, only 8000 baht gets you 3 months covid cover AND health insurance to the required amounts...
