still need the letter from embassy confirming the source of your income. Unless you have a WP and can show Thai income tax document.

go to any immigration office, they will tell you.

and still you need to show 400k as I mentioned before, even for the initial one. Been there, done it.

this visa can only be applied outside of Thailand.

cannot. Credit of 40k per month alone is not enough. They need to have a confirmation from embassy on where the money comes from. And for this way, 3 months 40k is not enough. You need 12 month. 3 month is for 400k deposit in Thai Bank.
