Yea twice, just have all your accommodation printed out and return flights, and money. Should be ok

Is the 60-day visa-free stay in Thailand going to be reduced to 30 days?

I can't see any logic behind this move tbh, someone retired in the west with ties to home want to ride out the winter months, they'll just fly out to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia or the Philippines and spend their money there, am I missing something?
