That seems to be a common theme lately. Not sure where many are getting their ideas from. Just jump on the plane and start work tomorrow is the latest fade. And don,t worry about speaking Thai there is English everywhere in its latest incarnation reboot. I think YouTube idiots that can,t count to ten in Thai are the cause of most of the misinformation and rumors as usual.

Don,t even think about moving here until you learn Thai. Your chances of finding work here are about nil so get that out of your head.

You hit the nail on the head. Dumb foreigners create inflation throughout Southeast Asia. Tossing money at the Thais creates the belief that all foreigners are gullible. So the next guy that comes along like me and has to deal with the consequences. I taught myself Thai to avoid places like Hua Hin lost foreigner central..

Good that you seem serious about learning. Just wish more expats made the effort.

Phi Phi are all about the same different names same tourist crap. But hey millions love the fantasy.

Koh Samui is way over rated was ruined decades ago. But if you enjoy thousands of foreigners and Burger King and fantasy land Thailand you will love it.

Been there many times and was always enjoyable. Far fewer scams, much cleaner than Thailand, very few if any loose dogs, and far fewer foreign trouble makers.

Malaysia in many ways I prefer to Thailand. Also I noticed they tend to have higher quality foreigners. And certain countries are banned from entering. I can,t help but wonder if that thins out the riff raff.
