Airlines DO check sometimes. I’ve been checked personally on two separate occasions.

Also, now, it’s one of the fields on the TDAC. If you get checked at immigration, it might raise a flag

A work visa is essential.

Like the other guy said … those are very difficult to attain.

I performed only once in Thailand and the visa process was a complicated bureaucratic nightmare.

It was handled by others, thankfully.
